Website Process

The first step in our process is to fill out our questionnaire which helps us to understand your needs and come up with a proposal that works best for you. Please fill it out as completely as you can as the more information we have, the more we can help you!

Once we receive your information, we will create a detailed, custom proposal which will give you an idea of the timeline to create the site, services included and pricing. While it’s hard to give a specific time frame for a website, in general a site can be created within four to eight weeks, although this varies depending on the size and complexity of your needs, as well as our booked availability. Providing content to us as soon as possible is one way to speed up the process.

The proposal will be sent to you within five business days of receiving the questionnaire information. Once the proposal is accepted, a contract and invoice for 50% down with a start date will be emailed to you. We will also need your hosting login information to set up a testing site for the new design.

The first step in site creation will be to “wireframe” the site which is a simple sketched out design of the homepage and interior page templates. An organizational chart of the site structure will be prepared as well. We may also, depending on the project, create a “moodboard” which is a one-page PDF with a color palette, some sample images and typography.

The final step will be to set up a live demo on an unlisted URL which will be sent to you to review. Changes and revisions will be due back within five business days. The number of revisions will be part of your contract. Once revisions are completed, a final round of testing will be done to ensure that everything is working properly. An invoice for the remaining 50% will be submitted to you. Upon final payment, the site will “go live” on your hosting server.
